      OFFSET PRINTING

      Generally used for larger orders

      Advantages include:

      • Image quality: Offset provides the best color match because it uses actual Pantone ink. Digital simulates colors using a four-color matching process, so color replication may be less accurate.
      • Flexibility: Do you want a special paper, finish, weight or size? Offset gives you more options than digital.
      • High-volume pricing: The per-unit cost for offset declines as the quantity increases. For high-volume jobs, offset beats digital.

      DIGITAL PRINTING

Generally the option for smaller orders.

      Advantages include:

      • Turnaround time: Our state-of-the-art digital printing equipment allows us to deliver projects on a timeline that offset can’t match.
      • Proofing: Digital allows you to see an actual sample of the printed piece, which makes the proofing process simpler and less expensive than with offset.
      • Low-volume pricing: For smaller print runs, digital offers lower per-unit costs than offset.

Borns Group has invested in a RICOH Pro VC40000 inkjet printer, which improves printing quality and shortens turnaround times.

No matter what your printing needs, Borns Group has the experience and technology to get it done quickly, cost-effectively and with the highest quality.

The setup for offset printing is generally significantly more time consuming and expensive than digital printing. The ink and each sheet of paper that comes off of an offset press is actually cheaper than that of a digital press, but the savings only make sense if the print job is at a high enough volume.
